n mid July this year, the newly built 40000 ton/year ethylene propylene rubber D unit at the Organic Synthesis Pant of China Petroleum Jilin Petrochemical Company successfully connected the hexane system process of five sections (polymerization unit, water washing unit, flash evaporation unit, hexane recovery unit and diene recovery unit), achieved stable circulation of solvent hexane and successfully produced up graded ethylene propylene rubber.
The ethylene propylene rubber D unit is an important project implemented by Jilin Petrochemical Company in the process of transformation and upgrading. Hexane, as a key solvent in the production process of ethylene propylene rubber, plays an important role in dissolution, heat transfer, viscosity control, etc., ensuring the efficient and stable polymerization reaction. It is vividly referred to as the "blood" of the new unit and is an indispensable part of the production process. Ethylene propylene rubber is widely used in lubricating oil, automotive parts, power cables, waterproof building materials, medical equipment, aerospace and other fields and is an important innovative product of PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical. The new unit will produce customized EPDM rubber according to the market needs, laying a solid foundation for Jilin Petrochemical's high-end and diversified strategy of new material products.
Nikuni’s 5 wet material cutting & Transfer pumps and 21 adhesive liquid transfer pumps were adopted in the key process of this project. These two products play an important role in the integrated powder cutting and transportation process of micellar materials and the high-pressure transportation process of high-temperature and high viscosity lotion.
